According to Odaily Planet Daily, US Democrat Ruben Gallego defeated Republican Kari Lake in the Arizona Senate election and won a seat. Although the Democrats lost control of the Senate in the 2024 election, Gallego's victory partially alleviated the loss.
Gallego voted in favor of the 21st Century Financial Innovation and Technology Act and a resolution to overturn SEC Staff Accounting Bulletin No. 121. Fairshake provided him with $10 million in support.
There are still 16 undecided races in the House of Representatives, and the Republicans have won 214 seats, needing only four more to gain a majority in the next congressional term. The Democrats have won 205 seats, but the Republicans are still expected to control the House.
