The Fed is unlikely to cut rates three times this year

SEI Chief Investment Officer Jim Smigiel said expectations that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates three times this year appear to be too high. "We don't expect to see that," he said in a report. He said a 25 basis point rate cut in September seems possible, while a further rate cut in December "remains on the table."
