According to TechFlow, on July 16, Coindesk reported that Polygon Labs released the latest version of the zero-knowledge proof system Plonky3, which is more flexible than the previous Plonky2. The zero-knowledge proof system is a core component of the blockchain ecosystem, responsible for generating proofs to summarize off-chain transactions and feeding information back to the main chain. Plonky3 has now been released as open source software, using MIT and Apache licenses. Polygon plans to integrate all proof systems into one code base and framework to enhance future technology development.
