Joe Biden's Team Gathered for Cryptocurrencies: Here are the Highlights

Joe Biden's team met in Washington to talk about cryptocurrencies.

A group of cryptocurrency luminaries, lawmakers, and advisors to President Joe Biden gathered in the ballroom of the swanky Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, July 11, to talk about the industry.

According to Crypto Innovation Council CEO Sheila Warren, the important topics discussed included the closure of cryptocurrency-focused banks, activities carried out by the SEC, and regulation of the cryptocurrency industry.

Warren, who was personally present at the meeting, made the following statement to The Block:

Many people, including me, left the meeting feeling better than when we first entered.

Biden's advisor was also there

Warren said that President Biden's senior advisor Anita Dunn personally attended the meeting and took notes:

He was very busy with such things, actively taking notes. It is quite surprising and unusual for a government official of this level to be engaged for more than an hour. Ms. Dunn took an hour to sit with 30 or 40 people and listened patiently, asked questions, and expressed genuine commitment to continuing this dialogue rather than simply thanking us for our time and sending us out the door.

Cryptocurrencies were among the critical issues of the US Presidential election. Especially Trump's attacks at this point were enough to dislodge the Biden camp.

Trump's enthusiastic support for cryptocurrencies was enough to leave Joe Biden behind in this field. Aware of this situation, the Biden camp stated that Trump was trying to put himself forward by taking advantage of the great uncertainty.
