2. Introduction to the project team

(1) Dominik Harz is the co-founder and CTO of Interlay and BOB. He holds a PhD in computer science from Imperial College London, where he also previously served as a research assistant.

(2) Alexei Zamyatin is the co-founder of Interlay and BOB, and was previously a researcher at SBA Research. He is a PhD candidate at the Center for Cryptocurrency Research and Engineering at Imperial College London, UK, where his research focuses on blockchain security and interoperability.

BOB: Innovative L2 solution combining Bitcoin security with EVM liquidity:

Bitcoin is known for its strong security, but liquidity constraints have been a bottleneck to development. Especially during the production reduction period, miners' income was significantly reduced. For this reason, the Bitcoin L2 technology stack BOB provided a new solution.

BOB inherits the security of Bitcoin by incorporating the mining protocol OptiMine, adopting a hybrid consensus model that allows Bitcoin miners to only verify without additional PoW and electricity costs. BOB uses EVM to create and execute smart contracts, and supports Bitcoin's Rust library and ZK Rollups technology.

BOB recently completed a $10 million seed round of financing, attracting many investors in the Bitcoin field. BOB also launched the first quarter points program to encourage users to participate in ecological construction.

BOB’s roadmap shows that it will gradually achieve dual compatibility with Bitcoin and Ethereum through multi-stage releases in the future.
