The Fed will cut interest rates continuously starting in September, with a cumulative cut of 200 basis points!
The Fed will begin to cut interest rates aggressively in a few months and continue until next summer.
In a note last Friday, the bank cited new signs of economic slowdown and believed that the Fed will cut interest rates by 25 basis points at each meeting starting in September, for a total of eight cuts until July 2025.
This will reduce the benchmark interest rate by 200 basis points, from 5.25%-5.5% now to 3.25%-3.5%, and remain unchanged for the rest of 2025, the report said.
