Bitcoin Core developers launch critical bug disclosure policy

Golden Finance reported that Bitcoin Core developers have launched a critical bug disclosure policy aimed at communicating more effectively about Bitcoin security vulnerabilities. Bitcoin Core developer Antoine Poinsot and five others wrote to members of the Bitcoin Development mailing list on July 3 that the project has historically performed poorly in publicly disclosing critical security vulnerabilities, whether reported externally or discovered by contributors. Antoine Poinsot said that people have a dangerous perception that Bitcoin Core has no bugs, noting that this is dangerous and, unfortunately, inaccurate.
