📱 There are signs of liquidity stress in the US banking system. On Monday, the secured overnight financing rate (SOFR), which reflects the cost of banks borrowing cash collateralized by U.S. Treasury securities, rose to 5.4%. This reached a 6-year high. 📈 This may not be good news for cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, which are risky assets.

"This is something the market should be worried about in the short term," said David Brickell of FRNT Financial, adding that the Fed should return to liquidity injections.

Bitcoin is down 13% in the last 30 days. Some observers note that Bitcoin is also a measure of liquidity and its losses could herald tough times for stocks.
