Tools for Humanity (TFH), the company behind the development of the Worldcoin project, has hired four high-ranking ex-employees of Apple, Google, Meta, Tesla and X for leadership positions.

Damien Kieran has joined the firm as Chief Privacy Officer. He previously held the same position at Company X.

Former Google Android CISO Adrian Ludwig and former Google Payments head of identity Ajay Patel have filled their respective vacancies at TFH.

In recent months, the biometric identification project has faced increased attention from regulators in a number of countries concerned about the safety of citizens' personal data. The authorities of Britain, France, Germany, and Argentina became interested in the activities of Worldcoin.

Portugal and Spain ordered a halt to data collection. In December, the company disabled the verification feature using orbs - devices for scanning the iris of the eye - in India, Brazil and France.

Rich Hely, who has held leadership positions at Apple, Meta, and Tesla, has become Worldcoin's director of devices. He will oversee the development and improvement of orbs.

Let us remind you that TFH co-founders Sam Altman and Alex Blania, despite the investigation of the project in Argentina, discussed the possibility of investing in the country with newly elected President Javier Miley in May.

In Kenya, prosecutors ordered the case against Worldcoin to be closed without further action by the police.
