[Top financial apps support Shiba Inu card payment]

In an announcement on Friday, xPortal announced the launch of a new stored-value channel for its cryptocurrency charge card service. This update allows users to store value using a variety of cryptoassets, including Shiba Inu (SHIB), Chainlink (LINK), Uniswap (UNI), Dogecoin (DOGE), PEPE, and stablecoins USDT and USDC.

xPortal is a global payments app and non-custodial crypto wallet based on MultiversX (EGLD) that allows users to exchange and manage cryptocurrencies directly from their mobile devices. The wallet is known for its security features, specifically having on-chain two-factor authentication (2FA), making it considered unhackable.

Shiba Inu enthusiasts can download the xPortal app and access its charge card solution through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei App Store. Card issuance is free, but physical card delivery costs €10, and cryptocurrency purchases cost 1.49%, with users also receiving up to 5% cash back.

However, US users lamented the inability to use the xPortal card service. Some users said that once the U.S. leadership changes in the upcoming election, cryptocurrency-related restrictions on U.S. residents may be relaxed, accompanied by more favorable regulations.

xPortal joins a growing list of cryptocurrency financial services providers supporting Shiba Inu payments. In 2023, BitPay partnered with Sardine to make SHIB card payments possible in more than 180 countries. That same year, the Gate.io exchange launched a charge card supporting Shiba Inu payments across Europe. Recently, the CryptoCom app also expanded its support to accept Shiba Inu as Visa card funds. Additionally, Binance’s cryptocurrency charge card has also restored Shiba Inu payment support, building on its first integration in August 2022.
