According to TechFlow, on January 5, Hyperlane core contributor Jon Kol tweeted that he was disgusted with comparing the message transmission protocol to the TCP/IP protocol.
He believes that the interesting thing about blockchain is that it handles value transfer rather than information packet delivery. It should be thought of as an open and distributed Visa, with each chain being a merchant.
Jon Kol also pointed out that Hyperlane is an open framework for future information and value transmission and will not become a TCP/IP protocol.
