According to PANews, Bitcoin mining company MARA Holdings, Inc released a BTC production update for December 2024, mining 249 blocks in December, setting the second highest monthly record. The power-on hash rate rose to 53.2 EH/s, a 15% increase from November, but BTC production fell 2% to 890 BTC. MARAPool hash rate increased by 168% in 2024, exceeding Bitcoin's 49% network growth rate.

In 2024, MARA acquired 22,065 BTC at an average price of $87,205 and mined an additional 9,457 BTC. The yield per BTC at the end of the year was 62.7%. MARA currently holds 44,893 BTC, which is worth $4.2 billion at the spot price of $93,354/BTC. As of December 31, 2024, MARA has loaned 7,377 BTC to third parties.
