Building up the middle class will be a cornerstone of my presidency because it’s where I come from, and I know its value firsthand. My mother managed our household on a tight budget, ensuring we lived within our means while making the most of the opportunities we had. She taught us to be grateful for those chances because not everyone is so fortunate.
