About LeverFi(LEVER)
LeverFi is a decentralized financial payments network that rebuilds traditional payment stacks on the blockchain. It leverages a basket of fiat-linked stablecoins, algorithmically stabilized by its reserve currency $LEVER, to enable programmable payments and open financial infrastructure.
LeverFi allows users to use leveraging to farm. Users can deposit yielding collateral and trade fluctuations in asset prices with leverage of up to 10 times.
LeverFi uses a cross-margin model, which means users can unify their yield collateral into a single basket of collateral for trading at scale. Lenders deposit funds into LeverFi to lend to traders, and traders withdraw funds from the lending pool to make leveraged trades. The trader's unused idle assets are deployed to the farming pool to supposedly generate revenue. Leveraged trades are only stored and settled within the leveraged platform. A clearing system is required if a user is placed on a margin call. Lever claims users are subject to a margin call when a trade loss exceeds the liquidation threshold.
LeverFi is partnered with ParaFi Capital, Blockwater Capital, and other notable organizations. In the past, it had partnered with the now-defunct Alameda Research.
LEVER is the LeverFi platform's native governance token. To participate in governance, users must lock up LEVER for a period of time in order to receive xLEVER tokens, with each xLEVER representing one vote in the governance process.
Governance enables token holders to vote on parameter changes of the following such as adding or removing collateral, tradable assets, and lending pools, changes to risk management policies and parameters, and Protocol fee distribution to xLEVER stakeholders. The live price of LEVER is available and updated in real time on Binance.
