About Ellipsis (EPX)
Ellipsis.Finance is an exchange for stable and crypto assets on the BNB Chain. It allows for digital asset swaps with very low slippage and minimal fees.
Ellipsis Finance is an authorized fork of Curve.fi, the largest stable swap AMM protocol on the Ethereum network. The goal of Ellipsis is to capture a significant portion of the stable swap market on the BNB Chain. The current price of Ellipsis can be tracked live on Binance.
Ellipsis uses liquidity pools with a high amount of liquidity to achieve its exchange volume with low slippage. Ellipsis pools support a wide range of tokens.
Ellipsis has three types of pools: 1) Base pools with liquidity for BUSD-USDC-USDT, 2) Meta pools, which prevent the dilution of existing pools and provide more volume and more trading fees for liquidity providers, and 3)Factory pools, fully customizable pools that allow stablecoins, pegged BNB, BTC and can contain up to four tokens.
Ellipsis Finance originally had EPS as its core utility token. However, in May 2022, the utility of the Ellipsis platform migrated to version two of the EPS token, and it was rebranded as the current $EPX token with an 88-fold increase in token supply. Apart from incentivizing liquidity providers, EPX can be vote locked to acquire vIEPX. This one-year lock allows users to earn boosted yields of up to 2.5x. Token lockers also receive platform fees, vote on EPX pool incentives for liquidity providers, receive boosted yields as a liquidity provider, and vote on pool eligibility to receive incentives.
Ellipsis trading fees for stablecoin pools are 0.04%, while 0.04% to 0.4% on pools similar to BUSD/USD. Half of all trading fees are distributed to liquidity providers in trading pools, while the other half is distributed amongst users who lock their EPX tokens.
Ellipsis Finance recently announced the launch of Capital-Efficient Crypto Swaps on BNB Chain. The product allows efficient swaps between crypto pairs like BNB USDT on the BNB Chain. Given the equal liquidity, Ellipsis pools aim to outperform AMMs like Uniswap or PancakeSwap.
