What was supposed to be a meeting with President Donald Trump turned into an explosive confrontation in the Oval Office, with Zelensky leaving and Trump claiming that peace talks had not yet begun
reporters rushed outside to question Zelensky. He peppered them with questions, asking if his conversation with Trump meant the end of a deal that could end the war between Russia and Ukraine. Zelensky ignored them, got into his car and disappeared into Washington. Minutes later, the White House abruptly canceled a planned joint press conference and cut off official statements from the two leaders.
