Binance Partners with Kazakhstan State Organizations to Launch Country-wide Blockchain Education Program
Binance announced today the launch of the education program in cooperation with the leading state organizations of Kazakhstan to deliver blockchain education to 40,000 people by 2026. To execute this large-scale initiative Binance partners with the Research Lab âBlockchain Centerâ created by the Center for the Development of Payment and Financial Technologies of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Astana Hub, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan.
The Memorandum of cooperation was signed today by Mr. Musin, the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Zhalenov, the Chairman of the Board of Center for the Development of Payment and Financial Technologies of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Mr. Madiev, the General Manager of Binance Kazakhstan. According to the agreement Binance will provide educational materials and support to develop and execute the basic educational program on blockchain and compliance for the Universities.
Kazakhstan will be one of the first countries in the world to embed the basic blockchain curriculum in the Universitiesâ programs across the whole country. Professionals with the knowledge of blockchain, digital assets and compliance will become a resource for the global blockchain industry.
This initiative stems from the meeting of Changpeng Zhao (CZ), co-founder and CEO of Binance with the president of Kazakhstan Mt. Tokaev in May this year where they discussed cooperation in blockchain and crypto education. Later in June, the Center for the Development of Payment and Financial Technologies of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Astana Hub established the Research Lab âBlockchain Centerâ to drive the blockchain industry, develop and implement the education programs in the country.
In October 2022, Binance was granted a permanent license by Kazakhstanâs AIFC Financial Services Authority (AFSA) to operate a digital asset platform and provide custody services at the Astana International Financial Center. The permanent license gives Binance the status of a regulated platform in Kazakhstan and attests to its strong compliance and security controls.
Gleb Kostarev, Asia Regional Head at Binance, said: âWe support Kazakhstanâs goal to become a leading player in digital technologies which would not be possible without increasing education and blockchain adoption around the country. Binance has always valued education, and Binance Academy is one of the largest learning hubs in the blockchain industry. Our partnership with Kazakhstan state organizations is another step in bringing accessible and standard-setting blockchain and crypto education to all.â
