Welcome to the October 2024 edition of our #BinanceBuild recap — your source for the latest updates to the Binance ecosystem. Our growth is fueled not only by major new features but also by the subtle refinements, many of which are directly inspired by your contributions through our Feature Request & Feedback Board. Never forget, your input is invaluable to us! Now, let’s dive in.
Binance Earn: Maximize Yield on Your Idle Assets
Binance Earn is the ultimate hub for users looking to maximize the yield on their assets. With a diverse range of options, users can choose from flexible saving products, locked products, dual investments, and more. Catering to both beginners and experienced users, Binance Earn offers a secure and adaptable approach to asset growth. Last month, we introduced Binance Smart Arbitrage, a new tool in the Earn lineup. Here’s what it’s all about.
Binance Smart Arbitrage
Smart Arbitrage utilizes the funding rate arbitrage strategy to generate yield on your subscribed assets. This approach involves taking a long position in the spot market and a short position in the futures market to eliminate price movement risks, maintain a delta-neutral stance, and collect funding fee payments as yield. With Smart Arbitrage, this entire process is automated for you—simply input your investment amount and click ‘confirm’.
Binance Pre-Market: Trade Tokens Before Official Listings
Binance Pre-Market is an innovative feature that enables you to trade select tokens before their official listing on the spot markets. This provides an opportunity to capitalize on early price discovery and, for Launchpool users, to realize gains from their allocated rewards.
Pre-Market Token Tags
To clearly distinguish between pre-market trading and official spot trading, we’ve introduced new token tags and pre-market-specific order forms. The next time you see a “Pre-Market” tag, you’ll know you’re ahead of the pack!
Flexible Execution With New Trade Settings
To accommodate the unique preferences of each trader, we continually enhance our offerings to provide extensive customization options, allowing you to create a setup tailored to your specific needs. Whether it’s the type of K-line chart you use to screen the markets or the orders you place, each element plays a specific role in your trading journey. Here are two new settings to enhance your customizability:
Refined OCO Orders
An OCO (One Cancels the Other) order type enables you to place two orders simultaneously using a limit order and a stop-limit order. Only one of these orders will be executed, as once one order is filled, the other is automatically canceled. Our latest update to OCO orders introduced a broader range of stop order types to include market stop support, ensuring timely and effective stop loss execution. Stop losses for OCO orders were previously restricted to limit orders only, which posed execution risks and sometimes resulted in larger losses due to delays in stop loss fills.
Profit and Loss Management with ROI%-Based Targets
We’ve rolled out new take profit and stop loss settings that now support ROI% based targets. This update not only provides users with additional options but also offers a more strategic approach to maintaining a consistent risk-reward ratio. Gauging profits and losses in ROI% helps you more systematically manage your trades, whereas PNL targets can be arbitrary and may not always align with your risk management strategy.
Binance Trading Bots: Automate Your Strategy
Binance Trading Bots provide a range of tools and strategies to automate your trading activities around the clock, alleviating you from the time-consuming and mentally demanding aspects of cryptocurrency trading. Binance offers a diverse range of trading bots, each designed with distinct functions to execute specific strategies. These range from Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) setups to algo orders to optimize on trade execution costs, amongst other advanced trading bots.
Add Investment to Your Active Grid Bots
Grid Bots employ the Grid Strategy, placing buy and sell orders at predefined price intervals to profit from market volatility without predicting market direction. Similarly, the Futures Grid Bot applies this strategy to the futures markets, allowing users to execute long and short grids with the option of using leverage.
In our latest update, we have refined the Futures Grid Bot with a new “Add Investment” feature, allowing users to increase their stakes in active grid bots without needing to stop and restart them, thereby preventing execution risks and providing a more seamless user experience.
Stay Informed with Custom Trading Alerts
Alerts are a useful tool to keep you informed about market movements without constant monitoring. Setting alerts for specific conditions enables prompt reactions to developing opportunities and risks, enhancing your decision-making and time management. Binance offers a wide range of customizable alerts, allowing you to tailor them according to your trading strategy.
Margin Call Alerts
The revamped margin call alerts now allow you to customize maintenance margin thresholds and notification frequencies, helping you better manage your risk. User feedback indicated that the previous fixed threshold alert of 80% was too high and often did not provide sufficient time for traders to replenish the required margin. With this update, you can more passively monitor and manage your margin requirements.
Other Notable Features Released in October
Enhanced Horizontal Chart Functionality: You can now access chart settings and drawings directly in the horizontal chart view on mobile.
Lead Trader Position Sharing: Lead traders can now enable ‘Share Trading Signals’ to automatically share their position changes in chat rooms.
