STEPN is a move2earn app where users earn tokens for the steps they take. Its vision is to nudge millions to healthier lifestyles, connect them to the Web3 world and contribute positively to Carbon Neutrality.
Users equip themselves with NFTs in the form of Sneakers. Each NFT Sneaker comes with different type, quality, series number, base attributes, and socket types. Users earn game currency by walking, jogging, or running outdoors, which can either be used in-game or cashed out for profit. There are in-app gamification features such as sneaker levelling, shoe-minting, mystery boxes, NFT customization and social interactions. Users need to strategize their in-app assets in various modes to achieve the best result.

How Does It Work?
STEPN is built around an essential daily activity for most people – moving around. By simply pressing the START button, users can start to move and earn token rewards with a small chance to receive a Mystery Box that contains NFT Gems.
Sneakers and Gems NFT: Sneaker NFT can be levelled up by burning tokens. Users can add attributes points and NFT Gems to the sneaker in order to boost its performance.
Minting & Shoebox: By putting two sneakers NFT together and burning some tokens, users can mint one NFT Shoebox, or on rare occasions, two Shoeboxes at the cost of one. Opening the shoebox will give the user one random sneaker NFT.
NFT Marketplace: Users can trade their NFT Sneakers, Shoeboxes and Gems on the marketplace.
Decentralized Wallet & Swap: Users can buy cryptocurrencies through a portal to Binance; swap tokens to other cryptocurrencies and send/deposit tokens/NFTs.
How to get started with STEPN
To start, users need to download the STEPN app
Download the STEPN app iOS, Android. (All other reading materials on STEPN)
Sign-up for STEPN After getting access to the app on your device, you will be able to sign up for STEPN with your email address. You will receive a verification code that you need to key in to enter the app. You may also need to key in Activation Code, which you can get from existing STEPN users.
Create a new Wallet Click on the Wallet icon on the top right corner of the screen. The app will generate a 12-word secret phrase. This will be used to recover your Decentralized Wallet in the future - store it somewhere safe!
Transfer SOL into your in-app Wallet Transfer SOL to the in-app wallet and then to the Spending Account to buy NFT Sneakers in the Marketplace and always keep some SOL as gas in your Decentralized Wallet.
Purchase a Sneaker Head over to the in-app Marketplace and pick out a Sneaker! You can use the Filter tool to look for a Sneaker type of your preference. Ensure you have enough SOL for the purchase.
Congrats! You are all set. After the purchase of a Sneaker, energy will restore at a rate of 25% every 6 hours (Fixed at AEDT Time 00:00, 06:00, 12:00, 18:00)

Lets breakdown the entire process of accessing STEPN wallet and buying NFTs :
HOW TO PURCHASE AND TRANSFER ‘SOL’
Login to your Binance account. Hover over the Trade tab and select either Classic or Advanced for the trading interface.
2. Move the cursor over the trading paris menu on the top left, then in the pop up searching bar type in SOL and select a proper SOL pair. The example below is shown as (SOL/USDT).
3. Choose the Market buy option, then Click [Buy SOL] to complete your purchase.
HOW TO CREATE OR IMPORT WALLET IN STEPN. (IF YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE, PLEASE MOVE TO THE NEXT STEP)
Go to the App home page, and tap the asset zone on top right.
Choose Wallet
Select Create a new wallet or Import a wallet using Secret Phrase
HOW TO TRANSFER SOL INTO STEPN WALLET
To transfer your SOL from your Binance account, hover over the [Wallet] menu tab and select [Fiat and Spot].
Find SOL, then click [Withdraw].
2. Paste into your STEPN wallet address which you can find in the STEPN Wallet by tapping the Receive button.
3. Click Network below Address and select SOL (Solana).
4. View your transaction details, then click [Withdraw] to complete the transfer.
HOW TO PURCHASE NFT SNEAKER OR SHOEBOX
Move your SOL from your Decentralized Wallet to the Spending Account.
2. Choose the Sneaker or Showbox in the Marketplace. Single tap the selected item to view details, and refine the search by tapping the Filter button. (If you are not familiar with the game mechanics, we suggest you read the official white/lite paper prior to purchasing.)
3. In the NFT sneaker detailed page, tap [BUY NOW] to complete the purchase.
HOW TO EARN GAME TOKEN (GST) BY MOVING
Go back to the home page after sneaker purchase. Select the sneaker and Ensure your account has enough Energy. Otherwise, it will not earn any GST.
Tap the START button and then start moving.
3. Tap the Pause button at bottom to if you want to pause, then choose continue or end.
4. When finished, the result will be displayed and tap the [SHARE YOUR RUN] button to share with your friends.

UNDERSTAND THE SNEAKERS
Each sneaker consists of different attributes and features. There are 4 types, and 5 qualities. There are four Sneaker types, each designed to suit a different exercise intensity and/or fitness level:
There are five Sneaker qualities. When a Sneaker is minted, the value of each Attribute will be chosen at random within the min. and max. values according to Sneaker quality. As such, even Sneakers of the same quality may have vastly different Attribute distributions.
Users can level up their Sneakers by burning GST. Each level-up takes a fixed time to complete, which increases along with the amount of GST required according to the Sneaker level. This process can be sped up by burning even more GST.
Additionally, GMT will also be required to level a Sneaker to Level 29 and 30.

Shoe-Minting
Shoe-Minting Event (SME) is when users use 2 Sneakers they own as a blueprint to “breed”, producing a Shoebox in the process. Users can select a Sneaker, by heading to the Mint tab, and then choosing the Sneaker to “breed” with, and pressing Mint to proceed.
