American tech billionaire Elon Musk made controversial statements about artificial intelligence. According to Musk, professions are in jeopardy.
The owner of Tesla and SpaceX, Musk, believes that AI will make people jobless. He also noted that this is not entirely a bad thing.
Musk participated in the technology conference VivaTech held in Paris, France, via video conference.
"None of Us Will Have a Job"
In his speech, Musk stated, "Probably none of us will have a job," referring to a future where professions will be "optional."
"If you want to work as a hobby, you can," Musk said, adding:
Otherwise, AI and robots will provide the products and services you want. A universal high income is necessary for this scenario.

AI capabilities have increased rapidly over the past few years. The spread of AI is causing concerns about how industries and professions will transform.
Biggest Hope and Fear
Elon Musk also openly expresses his concerns about AI. In his speech on Thursday, he described this technology as his "biggest fear."
"My greatest hope is Mars," Musk said, "My greatest fear is AI."
Questioned a Jobless Future
The 52-year-old tech entrepreneur questioned whether people would be emotionally satisfied in a jobless future:
If computers and robots can do everything better than you, does your life have meaning?
In this regard, maybe people still have a role; we can give meaning to AI.
Warned Parents
Elon Musk also had a message for parents. He asked them to limit their children's social media usage.
He cited the reason as, "Children are being programmed by AI to maximize dopamine."
"Bad for Children!"
