The ZEN token is no longer a privacy token. The#Horizenblockchain conducted a corresponding hard fork.
The reasons are stated directly - questions from regulators and, as a result, a wary attitude towards privacy tokens of crypto exchanges. Quote from Twitter:
"On block 1502800, a hard fork was successfully activated on the Horizen main chain, removing the shielded pool. It's official: ZEN is no longer a privacy token!... This is an exciting event for the Horizen ecosystem, marking a completed response to the evolving regulatory environment regarding privacy tokens that ZEN is not.
Earlier this year, the ZEN of the Horizen ecosystem was delisted from#okxand subject to monitoring by #binance.
Our community overwhelmingly supported the removal of privacy features, and we are pleased to announce a successful hard fork."
Between remaining only on minor or marginal exchanges (and perhaps under regulatory sanctions) and giving up confidentiality, the Horizen team made an obvious choice.
I wonder if ZEN will now be removed from the “hit list” - the “Monitoring” category on Binance, many of whose participants have already been delisted for 2023-2024.
The#ZENprice reacted weakly to the news and was not even able to break through the EMA of the 50 day TF. Maybe because this step was announced back in June 2023. The price is squeezed between two trend lines and for now the maximum target in case of growth is the volume level of $10.43.
Firstly, the downward trend since November 8th is approximately there. Secondly, not only the EMA 50 and 200 of the daily TF, but also the EMA of the 50 weekly TF (currently $10.34) are now at the top.
But to get a chance for even such limited growth, you need to consolidate above the volume level of $8.74.
