Degree of Effect Still Unknown

CoinStats did not disclose the extent to which the security breach affected the wallets, but said “updates will be shared as soon as they become available.”

The portfolio manager stated that users' assets are “completely safe in all circumstances,” as the website requests “read-only access” for connected crypto wallets.

The platform serves as a crypto portfolio tracker, offering users the ability to connect all their crypto wallets and see all their wallets in one place.

CoinStats published a Google document with a list of all affected crypto wallets. It was stated that the list "may change" as the investigation progresses, but significant changes are not expected.

Warning Against Scammers

Members of the crypto community have warned victims on the list against scammers offering help to resolve the situation.

Pseudonymous crypto commentator PPman said, “Scammers are smart. If your address is on this list or if you use CoinStats and post about it, scammers may try to reach you. "Don't trust anyone," he wrote.
