Compared to #GTA VI
There is a scene in the trailer that clearly looks like Burning Man (a big festival for those who don't know). What's stopping them from selling tickets or streaming it online while the real version takes place IRL?
I will also add if you look carefully that it seems that there are possibilities to launch lives in the game, like you could do on your Instagram.
Either they try to create a parallel universe with a new social network directly online (and therefore a new economy hence the interest of cryptocurrencies), or... they will make the real world and their game interoperable with the creation of influencers in game which can launch lives directly in the game which can be broadcast almost anywhere
And don't forget GTA VI is currently only announced on PlayStation and XBox, not on PC
What is the specificity of these 2 consoles compared to PCs? Both already have specific VR technology and the computing power is exclusively reserved for running games.
