The Cardano network is set to move into the final phase of its multi-year program to become a fully decentralized blockchain ecosystem later this month, co-founder Charles Hoskinson said in an X post. Once the transition is complete, Cardano will no longer be actively managed by Cardano development company IOHK but will be run entirely by community members. “Looks like June will be the month Cardano Node hits 9.0,” Hoskinson posted. “This means Cardano is ready to fork Chang and wait for 70% of SPO to install new nodes. Then a hard fork could occur pushing Cardano into the Voltaire Age.” Native token ADA is down 3.4% over the past 24 hours, generally in line with CD20.
