According to the Fed survey, the number of US adults using or owning cryptocurrency drops to about 18 million by 2023.
Only 7% of adults reported using crypto, down from 10% in 2022 and 12% in 2021.
People with income over $100,000 per year and the 30 to 44 age group have the highest crypto usage rates. Men use crypto three times more than women.
The Fed survey found this result to be much lower than Coinbase's claim that 52 million Americans own crypto.
