Fed Vice Chairman Michelle Bowman made the following remarks today:
We are watching the data closely to assess whether monetary policy is sufficiently tight.
We have not seen positive progress on inflation this year.
The baseline outlook is that inflation will continue to decline under the current level of monetary policy.
I remain cautious in changing interest rate decisions and am prepared to raise rates if inflation progress stalls or rises again.
It can be said that at present, Fed Vice Chairman Michelle Bowman is one of the most cautious members of the Fed 🦅. 📈💰
