JPMorgan Chase also disclosed that it owns 25,021 shares of crypto ATM provider Bitcoin Depot, worth approximately $47,000.
Increasing Corporate Bitcoin Investments
JPMorgan Chase's announcement came simultaneously with similar announcements from other financial institutions. Wells Fargo noted in its own SEC filing that it also invests in Bitcoin Depot in addition to the Grayscale and ProShares Bitcoin ETFs. Besides this, Susquehanna International Group announced on May 7 that it has invested over $1 billion in spot crypto ETFs in the first quarter of 2024.
This move by JPMorgan Chase reflects growing institutional interest in digital assets.
