Solana Founder's Response to Opponents of Meme Coin
Raj Gokal, one of the founders of Solana (SOL), responded to critics of meme coin culture.
To those who say that meme coins "scare serious founders" in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, Gokal said, "Can I remind you of the 'serious founder' who set all this in motion?" He responded by saying and sharing a photo of Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin with a cat bag.
Recently, the CTO of a16z crypto said that meme coins are negatively affecting the public, regulators, and entrepreneurs' views on cryptocurrencies.
Defending the meme coin culture against this, Gokal said, “If you are so delicate that you are afraid of how young people use unauthorized systems for entertainment, you cannot be successful in this field.”
