Over the past few days, the SOL network has been under pressure from the mining of the memecoin ORE.

Only 23% of transactions are successfully executed, while the rest aren't even counted in the statistics, causing users to express dissatisfaction after attempting to send tokens 10-15 times unsuccessfully.

Here's a breakdown:

  • High network activity - trading memecoins, DeFi, arbitrage bots, mining $ORE - everyone is trying to send transactions.

  • Solana nodes are overwhelmed and cannot process every transaction request sent — transactions start failing. Only a portion of transactions get through.

  • To maximize the chance of transactions being processed, bots begin to send spam messages across the network.

  • Ultimately, this harms real users who can't send spam at the same rate.

It's important to note that this is different from a typical failed transaction. Usually, failed transactions mean they were processed by a validator and didn't go through due to the network's condition.

The failures you're seeing now are caused by arbitrage bots (who don't care about state failures) spamming the network. Most users fail even before reaching this point.
