Client Fireside Chat
The inclusion of PaulieB provides an opportunity for indexers and other participants to ask him questions about his experience as a principal.
PaulieB has been commissioning since 2021, in addition to being actively involved in curating, is a member of Graph AdvocatesDAO, a member of Graphtronauts, and a technical writer at Pinax.
Delegators are participants in The Graph Network who delegate or stake their GRT to one or more indexers. Unlike indexers, principals do not run Graph nodes. By aligning with the indexer, they support network security and, in return, receive a share of the indexer's query fees and indexing rewards.

question
The Q&A was a quick session with topics including the importance of communication channels and why indexers should promote everything they do. To understand everything discussed, watch the recording.
Below is an example of a Q&A.
Q1: What factors are considered when choosing an indexer to delegate to?
answer:
I think it's important to be able to contact the indexers and have a way to communicate with them because some are inaccessible and others are. Also, I think it's good to have an indexer that's active in the community.
I'm trying to find a competitive, reputable indexer that may not have a huge mandate to help with decentralization and prevent one or a few indexers from controlling too large a stake.
Q2: Do you have any specific expectations regarding transparency and communication?
answer:
I'm hoping someone has a Telegram channel or some way to say, "Hey, what's going on with this allocation? It's been over 28 days.
The indexer should establish a common line of communication with the delegate.
Q3: Are any specific metrics given priority when evaluating the performance or reliability of an indexer?
answer:
It would be great if they manage assignments and close in a timely manner, keeping lines of communication open. I don't look for the highest APY - that's not the most important metric to me, although competitive APY/return is somewhat important.
Question 4: Is there any specific channel you prefer to get updates from the indexer? Discord, Forum or Twitter (X)?
answer:
I love Discord and Telegram. X is for more general information updates.
Q5: Is the Graphtronauts app your go-to app, or the official Graph Explorer or graphscan?
answer:
The Graphtronauts application is suitable for long-term tracking, while graphscan is suitable for quick inspections. Both work for notifications. Notifications are essential for delegating and staying informed about the latest information about your delegating. Graph Explorer could use a better UI for delegation, but it's also probably the best source of real information.
