⚖️ Bittrex Inc. File for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The company said it has assets and liabilities, each estimated to be worth between $500 million and $1 billion, and more than 100,000 creditors in a court filing. Two other entities, Bittrex Malta Ltd. and Bittrex Malta Holdings Ltd., have also filed for bankruptcy protection in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

It's less than a month after the Securities and Exchange Commission charged it with operating an unregistered exchange.
