The Central Bank of Montenegro announced the signing of an agreement with Ripple for the development of a strategy and pilot program for Montenegro’s digital currency in the form of a central bank digital currency or stablecoin.

James Wallis, RippleX's vice president of central bank business and CBDC, said that more details will be announced later this year and the project will go through several stages, including determining the practical applications of digital currencies or national stablecoins. (Cointelegraph)
