On Friday, February 9, in the evening, the price of the first cryptocurrency exceeded $48,000 — for the first time since March 2022. This is evidenced by CoinMarketCap data.
At the moment, the value of bitcoin was $48,152, after which the price of the asset rolled back. Today, February 10, at the time of writing, bitcoin is trading at a level of about $47,350. The asset rose in price by 2.57% during the day, and by 9.85% during the week.
As for the other cryptocurrencies with the largest capitalization, they all also showed growth in the last 24 hours and 7 days. It is worth noting that the price of Ethereum has increased to $2,500.
The financial giant BlackRock is ready to increase the share of the first cryptocurrency in its portfolio. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal with reference to the company's chief investment officer for global fixed income, Rick Reeder.
According to him, bitcoin now represents only a small part of the total funds under management of the firm. However, the situation may change along with the change in society's attitude towards this asset, Reeder notes.
A representative of BlackRock believes that over time, people will begin to perceive the first cryptocurrency "more calmly." This gives bitcoin a chance to become a big part of the asset allocation system, Reeder emphasizes.
He noted that the company monitors the market situation and is ready to increase the amount of bitcoin in the investment portfolio.
"As industry acceptance increases, we have more funds that people can use to feel more comfortable owning, buying, selling, and liquidating cryptocurrency," Reeder said. #біткоїн #криптовалюта #Bitcoin $BTC $ETH $BNB
