Key dates in the Ripple /Co SEC trial!!
Following the SEC's complaint against Ripple in December 2020, impacting the price of $XRP are we moving towards the end of the trial...or do we have a few more years?!
In order to increase suspense and predict emotional (or manipulative) movements, here are the dates:
The Court examined the parties accordingly:
- By February 12, 2024, the parties must complete their defenses/attacks related to the appeals;
- By March 13, 2024, the plaintiff (the SEC) will file its brief regarding the appeals;
- By April 12, 2024, the defendant (Ripple) will file its opposition if they do not agree with the SEC's request; And
- By April 29, 2024, the plaintiff (the SEC) will appeal (if they do not agree with Ripple's proposal).
The main date here is April 29 as you can imagine. Either the SEC and Ripple reach an agreement, or the SEC will ask to extend the trial.
For the moment we know that the judge ruled that XRP was not a security. But the SEC is demanding that Ripple pay $770 million for violating securities law.
Despite its obstinacy, the SEC is gradually withdrawing its complaints against the company Ripple (in particular those against the directors of Ripple: Chris Larson and Brad Garlinghouse).
Do you think we will see an end to this trial at the dawn of Bitcoin halving or do you think we will be here for a few more years?
For your part, are you selling or accumulating while waiting for April?
