Stellar to Undergo Software Upgrade
Stellar is preparing for a software upgrade, specifically the launch of Protocol 20. The upgrade is set to go live on January 30.

Stellar is an open-source, decentralized blockchain platform for financial transactions that was founded in 2014 by Jed McCaleb, one of the co-founders of Ripple. Stellar uses the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP) which allows for faster and more reliable transactions than most traditional blockchain solutions.
