On January 11, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (hereinafter referred to as "CAICT") "Spark Chain Network" and Ant Chain jointly announced that the blockchain domain name service system (BCDNS) and relay service (Relayer) jointly developed by the two parties were officially open source, and all developers can use them directly through the GitHub open source community. This is the first time that the two parties have cooperated to realize the implementation of blockchain open source results "from 0 to 1".
BCDNS blockchain domain name service can be regarded as a digital identity system, which is used to bind the unique identity between different chains; and the relay network is the core role of blockchain cross-chain communication, responsible for delivering messages from the source chain to the target chain safely and reliably.
As a blockchain and data infrastructure, "Spark Chain Network" has determined a long-term cooperation goal with Ant Chain to further enhance the ability of trusted data flow and help data elements play a multiplier effect in cross-regional and cross-system applications: to develop cross-chain open source products based on the IEEE blockchain cross-chain international standard (P3205). The open source of the cross-chain domain name service system and relay service means that the cross-chain product's full-process service is open source and has officially entered the production-level availability stage.
Next, "Spark Chain Network" and Ant Chain will continue to explore and research the secure cross-chain mechanism between different heterogeneous chains based on the IEEE-P3205 standard in the cross-chain field, and implement the secure authentication mechanism of on-chain messages (such as SPV verification, endorsement signature verification, message consensus signature, etc.) according to the characteristics of different heterogeneous chains, laying a solid foundation for the trusted authentication of cross-chain messages under heterogeneous chains.
"Spark Chain Network" is a new blockchain infrastructure led by China Academy of Information and Communications Technology under the guidance and support of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It has built and operated 11 super nodes across the country, and relies on super nodes to promote 54 application backbone nodes. Ant Chain is fully autonomous and controllable in the core technology fields of blockchain such as consensus, cross-chain, communication, and storage, and is at the leading level in the industry. In 2018, Ant Chain began to develop cross-chain technology and announced the cross-chain open source route in April 2023.
