According to Cointelegraph, Francesco Pierangeli, deputy director of the UK Blockchain Technology Center (CBT), said at the 2024 Dubai P2PFISY seminar that cooperation between academia, regulators and Web3 builders is crucial to the development of the Web3 field.

Pierangeli pointed out that many cryptographic technologies and ideas originated from universities, and even Bitcoin was pieced together from technologies developed by universities. He stressed that it is very important to break down the "island" phenomenon between academia, regulators and builders.

He believes that academia should meet with regulators to discuss and explain industry needs, and the latest academic research can help regulators understand the future direction of development.

Regarding the future of crypto, Pierangeli expressed optimism that the sector has already established itself and will continue to grow, especially driven by institutional adoption.
