According to TechFlow, on October 17, Ripple announced a partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), pledging $1 million to explore how its upcoming RLUSD stablecoin and cross-border payment solutions can improve the efficiency of cash rescue and funds transfer in crisis areas.

Eric Van Miltenburg, senior vice president of strategic initiatives at Ripple, said the collaboration is an important step for the company to use blockchain technology to promote global public welfare. Ripple plans to focus on how to use its global payment network and XRP Ledger (XRPL) open source solution to support cash relief programs and cross-border transfers to provide assistance to people affected by the crisis.
