According to TechFlow, on October 14, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin published an article discussing the future development direction of the Ethereum protocol.

He believes that Ethereum has been successfully running the Proof of Stake (PoS) system for nearly two years with stable performance. Future improvements will focus on single-slot finality and staking democratization.

The goal is to reduce block finality time from 15 minutes to 12 seconds or less, and to lower the staking threshold from 32 ETH to 1 ETH.

To this end, he proposed three possible solutions: improving the signature aggregation protocol, introducing a track committee mechanism, and implementing a two-level staking system.
