According to Cointelegraph, OpenAI released four updates in early October aimed at helping developers better build AI models.

One of the key updates is the Realtime API, which allows developers to create AI-generated voice applications using a single prompt. The tool supports low-latency, multimodal experiences similar to ChatGPT's advanced voice mode.

Another update is an image tuning tool that helps developers improve AI responses generated from image and text inputs, enhancing visual search and object detection capabilities.

In addition, OpenAI has introduced "model distillation" and "hint caching" to enable smaller models to learn from larger models, reducing development costs and time.

OpenAI expects revenue to rise to $11.6 billion next year, up from $3.7 billion in 2024, according to Reuters.
