According to Odaily Planet Daily, Bitcoin mining company Genesis Digital Assets Limited (GDA) has launched a new project in Norsjö, Sweden, using the waste heat from the Bitcoin mining data center to heat the local garage. GDA has worked with Muttern Fastigheter to redirect the waste heat from data center operations, providing 90,000 cubic meters of 52°C hot air per hour in a 1,200 square meter garage to solve the heating needs of Västerbotten County, where temperatures can drop to -25°C. GDA operates 20 data centers with 600 megawatts of capacity and more than 180,000 mining machines.
