According to Odaily Planet Daily, Fractal Bitcoin published an article on the X platform stating that OP_CAT is a potential major improvement in Bitcoin script programmability. The team plans to provide OP_CAT on Fractal Bitcoin and considers activating it when the mainnet goes live in September.
As an extension of the Bitcoin blockchain, one use case for Fractal Bitcoin is to enable experimental features like OP_CAT, which will open up dozens of programmable possibilities and provide real-world lessons for Bitcoin Core developers.
By conditionally executing OP_CAT-enabled scripts in the context of TapRoot, it becomes a better approach to perform these functions without breaking transaction-level compatibility between different layers.
