According to Foresight News, the Filecoin Foundation has announced the launch of Metropolis, a temperature check and crowd voting tool developed in collaboration with Canvas Technologies. The tool is designed to enhance the governance of the Filecoin network. With Metropolis, community members can express their overall feelings about proposals using 'positive' or 'negative' descriptors, making it easier for them to share their views on Filecoin Improvement Proposals (FIPs).
The goal is to provide a temperature check so that FIP authors and core developers can understand the community's overall preferences for certain proposals earlier. This will assist governance administrators in more accurately guiding the resources required for proposals and ideas. Metropolis can also be used to support community crowd-sourced opinion polls.
