According to CryptoPotato, a set of 10 Autoglyphs works were sold for 5,000 ETH (about $14.6 million) recently, the highest NFT sales in the past two years and the fifth largest transaction on the chain, setting a new benchmark for the value of blockchain-based artworks. The acquisition was facilitated by Fountain.xyz, which specializes in rare digital art brokerage. The collector comes from the traditional analog art field and hopes to remain anonymous. According to the representative, the collector regards Autoglyphs as an ordinary art acquisition and plans to exhibit these works in museums and institutional settings in the future. Autoglyphs was created by Matt Hall and John Watkinson of Larva Labs and was born two years after they created CryptoPunks. Autoglyphs has a total of 512 unique outputs and quickly became one of the most coveted works by generative art enthusiasts. The set of works acquired this time is one of only seven sets, and one of three sets of developer works directly curated and cast by Larva Labs. It was previously part of the famous "Old School Collection".
