According to BlockBeats, domain name startup D3 Global has completed a $5 million seed round of financing, led by Shima Capital, with participation from Arthur Hayes' Maelstrom and other companies. D3 Global is committed to integrating the practicality of Web3 with existing Internet infrastructure, bringing more interoperability to the Web2 and Web3 versions of the Internet while creating more practicality and security. D3 also stated that it plans to apply for and obtain new top-level domains during ICANN's upcoming application window to provide secure identities that are natively supported by all browsers and devices.
