According to the Daily Planet, Gala Game founder and CEO Eric Schiermeyer and co-founder Write Thurston have filed lawsuits against each other. Eric Schiermeyer accused Write Thurston of stealing 8,645,014,077 GALA from Gala Game, allegedly transferring and selling about $130 million in stolen GALA tokens, and stealing licenses to operate "nodes" on the Gala ecosystem.
Eric Schiermeyer asked the court to enter a judgment against Thurston and True North, returning the stolen GALA and proceeds, compensating for ill-gotten gains, removing Thurston from his position as a director of the company, and compensating for litigation and legal expenses.
Write Thurston accused Eric Schiermeyer of destroying more than $600 million worth of GALA tokens, converting company assets for personal use, and retaining a large number of GALA tokens for personal use. True North seeks damages from Schiermeyer and asks the court to return all profits, benefits and other compensation obtained by Schiermeyer from his misconduct and breach of trust.
