According to the Daily Planet, Virtue Poker, a startup incubated by Consensys, has relaunched, focusing on connecting NFT community users. Virtue Poker was founded in 2016 to decentralize online poker. Last summer, Virtue was on the verge of bankruptcy and its website was shut down due to difficulties in attracting and retaining users.

Ryan Gittleson, founder of Virtue Poker, said that the launch of the Virtue beta in a new way today is still committed to the company's original mission: to redefine modern poker using the tools and spirit of cryptocurrency. The improved Virtue Poker will provide infrastructure for clubs and organizations around the world that want to host online poker games and tournaments. Gittleson said that the NFT community can incentivize members to participate in Virtue tournaments by offering NFTs and other tokens as prizes to winners. Earlier news, in April 2021, the Ethereum-based decentralized poker platform Virtue Poker announced a $5 million financing, led by ConsenSys and Pantera Capital, and participated by DFG Group and FunFair founder Jez San.
