Institution predicts the US will purchase 300,000 to 400,000 Bitcoins this year, potentially triggering a surge in Bitcoin
Nigel Green, CEO of deVere Group, the world's largest independent financial consulting firm, predicts that the US will purchase 300,000 to 400,000 Bitcoins by 2025 as part of establishing a Bitcoin strategic reserve.
Green believes that the US may solidify Bitcoin as a cornerstone of its financial strategy, and this significant decision will push Bitcoin's value to unprecedented levels. Previously, US Senator Cynthia Lummis proposed the "Bitcoin Act of 2024," suggesting that the US Treasury and the Federal Reserve purchase a total of 1 million Bitcoins over the next 5 years and hold them for at least 20 years. Although political negotiations may lower the target, Green believes that driven by overwhelming momentum from retail and institutional investors, the US government may still purchase 300,000 to 400,000 Bitcoins as reserves.
