VIA Labs is using these funds to develop the Avalanche ecosystem's cross-chain protocol, Proto-USD. The main function of Proto-USD is to simplify cross-chain liquidity, allowing USDC to be easily transferred between Avalanche L1 and other networks. The development of this protocol aims to enhance the accessibility, scalability, and overall connectivity of the Avalanche ecosystem.
