ChainCatcher news, during the preliminary hearing in Manhattan, Chief Prosecutor Jared Leno told the court that Terraform Labs co-founder and former CEO Do Kwon's criminal fraud trial in the U.S. is tentatively scheduled for January 2026, allowing prosecutors and Kwon's defense attorneys ample time to review the expected 'massive' 6TB of data generated during the investigation.

Prosecutors indicated that the government is also expected to face more delays, as when Do Kwon is extradited to the U.S. on December 31, Montenegrin authorities provided four mobile phones from which they could not retrieve encrypted information or unlock the devices, leading to further delays for the government.

Additionally, the government must translate materials extracted from Do Kwon's native Korean into English. The next status conference for the case is scheduled for March 6 at 11 AM Eastern Time.
